H.E Groups around Devon - Information Teignbridge and Torbay Home-Education Group W e are a group of home-educating families living in and around the Teignbridge and Torbay areas of Devon.As a group, we arrange regular social meetings, educational workshops, and days out to offer support and friendship to those within the home-education community. Our meetings are held on Monday each week, starting at 11am, although this is subject to change to fit in with a venues needs. The children attending currently range in age from 0 to 15 with a good mix of girls and boys.The group is very relaxed, with a wide range of home-educators attending. Some are structured in their teaching approach and others are unschoolers/autonomous. As a group we value such diversity and are fully aware that works well for one family may not necessarily be the right thing for another. The Dart Valley Group The Dart Valley group gathers on 3 Fridays of the month for social and educational meetings throughout Devon and occasionally Cornwall. If you are interested in finding out more please email Julia using the email address below and your details will be passed on to the group organiser. Home Grown Kids Home Grown Kids provides support for home educating families and home-educated children. The group meet on a weekly basis every Wednesday. These meetings allow parents to come together to chat, children to play and, if they wish, to be involved in slightly more formal educational activities. The group also arrange outings and events ranging from library skills workshops , jamming sessions, cultural days to bowling trips and activity days. Based around Barnstable in North Devon.
